MP3: Sonarpilot - June Dub (Jonny Miller Remix)
There's something about British house/garage that makes me feel like I'm shopping in an expensive clothing store. I'm not quite sure if that's a good or a bad thing, but I do know I love this Jonny Miller remix.

Gavin Holland darkens the mood in this demure rendition of Misun's Coffee. For those with less rain in the forecast, check out the equally compelling original, complete with aquapop guitar strums and andrew-bird-esque whistles.

Summer is no longer here, but that doesn't mean we can't all still enjoy a good summer mixtape. Especially when said mixtape is one hour of house awesomeness from the inimitable Tensnake. Geek out and head here to buy the recently released, limited edition double LP of 2011's Live +.

It's difficult to distinguish any of the lyrics in this song apart from the word "madness." However, it's quite appropriate as that's the word that best describes it. The mix of staccato sounds all manage to come together to create a sort of magical maelstrom. It's evident here that Florian Bery has mastered the art of creating beauty with madness.

This space is oft reserved for the meandering of my weekly wonderment, but every so often an artist or song comes around that begs to be highlighted. This time around its Diplo's 'About That Life' featuring Jahan Lennon. Diplo you say? Yes, and while he has been showered with every golden laurel - as of late his favela escapada & Nolia clap has left a flat, leftover taste.
Even 'Express Yourself', minus its amazing dance moves, felt out of place - much like his contributions on MAYA. However with 'About That Life' displays a return to form in a sense for Diplo. With its obvious cues from Desi culture, 'About That Life' accomplishes a melodic, transcendentalist middle-finger to the many of us who had tired.

Brooklyn's Air Zaïre first caught my attention with his flawless Modern Summer set. Here he showcases even more of his musical talent with an original track that I've left on repeat for days. The steel drums and sultry vocals immediately place me on a mental Caribbean island without a care in the world. Hit play, turn up the volume, and escape the chaos of life, even if just for five and half minutes.

What more can be said about Justin Martin? This dude's been killing it for years and here is just another track that embodies that melody-hummin ass-shakin combination that he's managed to keep up for almost a decade now. I particularly love the way the hook bumps in and out...when I sing along I feel like I'm crooning right at the bass line, "Don't go. Don't go." Love it.
