When I was in college I had a late night conversation with a friend over the difference between love and being in love.  I figured it out (randomly, on the train the other day) and now I feel stupid that I didn't understand this all along: "love" is an action, something that only exists when it's acted out, "in love" is a state of being, a way of defining yourself or something.  Think chemistry class and those graphs with potential and kinetic energy curves--it's the same as the difference between "melting" and "warming up".  

So where does falling in love fit in to all of this?  You'll have to ask Vario.

As a total sucker for all things Bit Funk, it's no surprise that I can't take his latest release off repeat. I like to think of this song as a friendly reminder that life is a journey and that my seemingly enormous concerns are nothing but small hurdles along the way.

Like a lot of Copy Paste Soul's stuff, "I Need Ya" sounds a bit like Disclosure but with a more underground and chopped up vibe. Copy Paste Soul is a relatively unknown producer from London but I have a feeling that he won't be unknown for much longer. I came across this track in the Karma Kid Mixmag mix that I've been listening to on repeat lately.

Yesterday I was running in Prospect Park and came across a Christmas tree that had been sent to the gallows (unless it hung himself).
