Ta-Ku turns the original into a parade of eerie, yet triumphant Santi-like vocal samples, led by a percussive undertone that finales with a full on drum assault. Yet another good output from the Red Bull Music Academy.

If music was rated by the number of times I felt compelled to sing-a-long, this jammer would certainly be a favorite from the past few months. The production quality on this track was a pretty big clue that DEVolution (a.k.a Pete Devereux (formerly one half of the Artful Dodger) and his fellow accomplice Tom Devos) is more of a new moniker than an emerging artist.

Much like the 'wings of a butterfuly' that this lullaby adulates, SOHN flutters above the rest in Laura Mvula's recent remix contest.

I still don't know how many producers worked on this (OfficialBenzel, Xaphoon Jones, and Grave Goods to name a few), or who to award the most credit for it sounding so good, but I've never heard horns howl so commendably.
15. Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Swim and Sleep (Like A Shark) (Little Dragon Remix)

Much like a sleeping shark, this remix finds a way to glean tranquility without being still; floating away.

Hannes Fischer dives in the deep end with this elegant remix, pushed along by soulful vocals and gentle chord progressions. Definitely had a few 'life is beautiful' moments staring off into the Rockies with this one.
