Disclosure are Howard and Guy Lawrence, aka British garage wunderkids (16 and 19 years old, respectively. no joke).  I mean these two aren't even old enough to get into clubs to see dubstep and garage shows (at least not in the States).  Then again, Jim-E Stack is 19 and Canblaster is only 22, so maybe being under 25 is a prerequisite for making mind-bending 'future garage.'

Zimmer came into my life all of 1 month ago, when I first heard his track Crusin' on Moullinex's recent and very awesome Mix for Fact Mag.  Highly reminiscent of that latest Poolside release that has been blowing up mixtapes for more than a minute, Cruisin' is a super sexy, 100bpm Nu-Disco slow jam, and needless to say I've played it a gazillion times on Soundcloud in the past month.  

This morning, I was pleasantly surprised to discover three very awesome things: 1) Zimmer is now signed to Discotexas!; 2) Cruisin' is available for free download!; and 3) Zimmer has released a march mixtape in support of the Cruisin' release!  Download Cruisin' below, and catch the mixtape and tracklisting as well.  Definitely gonna be the soundtrack to my spring/summer and I'm sure it will be for yours as well!

Zonoscope is admittedly not my favorite album, but Cut Copy's lastest Modcast (released in support of the album), has made me appreciate it a whole lot more.  A Tale of Two Journeys is a psychedelic soundscape of disco, classic house, melancholy 80s rock, and a sprinkling of pop, and is very representative of Zonoscope's sound and influences.  The hour-plus mixtape provides a musical context for Zonoscope in the same way that the So Cosmic mix did for In Ghost Colours.
