I've had my fair share of conversations with music-heads that don't understand why I enjoy listening to remixed music.  They say things like, "Why don't you just listen to the original version and hear the song like it was meant to be played?" and, "Remixing doesn't involve nearly as much talent as the original recording does."  They use words like "unnecessary" and "sacrilegious" (an unnecessarily strong word) to describe this process and then expect me to feel ashamed for encouraging (what they consider) a watering-down of the music industry.  

But rather than write a thesis in an attempt to explain why I support and encourage our Culture of Remix, let me just offer this one tune as an example of the best kind of magic that occurs when opposing elements collide.
